If I go by you sometimes

lawn sprinkler cautious,

giggling in the possibilities

of gypsy gusts of wind

to wash the cobwebs from my words,

you needn't turn the tap off.

Just keep the grass well watered

and be sure

that when I have the courage to relax

I'll come to where the green is cool

beneath the sunlight in your voice.
